Dragons Tie for 11th at Big 5 Classic

Flourtown, Pa. – The Drexel golf team tied for 11th place at the Big 5 Classic held this weekend at the Philadelphia Cricket Club. The Dragons tied for third place among the six city Division I schools with a two-day total of 625.
Sean Semenetz (Tyler Hill, Pa./Sullivan West) was Drexel's top performer of the weekend. The sophomore had a two-day total of 151, tying him for 10th place with six other golfers. He was named to the All Big 5 team with his performance. Senior Jack Wallace (Beverly, N.J./Rancocas Valley) fired a 156 and was tied for 35th overall.
Juniors Steve Ransom (Cape May, N.J./Lower Cape May) and Patrick Hardin (Bethlehem, Pa/Freedom) and sophomore Frank Petrash (Hatboro, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) each carded a 160 for Head Coach Mike Dynda's squad.
Columbia University won the tournament with a 591 on the par-71, 6,834-yard course. Georgetown and Penn tied for second at 604.
